Sounds good. General convention is to store stuff like this in:

[WORKSPACE]/.metadata/.plugins/plugin-id

I'd suggest one database per repository, else the cache will not be
very effective. The working copy stores the repository UUID which you
can use as a key to determine which projects belong to the same
repository.
