Does subclipse use recommended repository layout?

Greetings everyone,

Most of my work with Subversion thus far has been with the command-line
client or TortoiseSVN on Windows. I've adhered to the project structure
(trunk, branches and tags folders) recommended in the Subersion book
(http://svnbook.red-bean.com/svnbook/ch05s04.html#svn-ch-5-sect-6.1). For
example:

/
   project1/
   project2/
   ...
   my_new_project/
      trunk/
         .project
         .classpath
         ...
         build.xml
         package.xml
      branches/
      tags/
   ...
   projectN

When issuing the Team -> Share Project command using subclipse, this layout
is not used. Why not? My hunch is that you don't want to impose a layout
on users. Will there be an option in future versions to indicate that I
want to use this recommended layout for my new projects when sharing them
via subclipse?

Many thanks,
Craig
