That would be cool indeed. I made Subversion honor the "301 Moved
Permanently" (automatically following the redirect) in what will be
Subversion 1.7. Moved Temporarily was something I opted not to
automatically follow. But I'd certainly be willing to entertain the idea of
prompting the user for whether or not he/she would like Subversion to follow
302's and 307's.
