Yes, I agree. The CollabNet Discussion Services are rather good now that
most of the bugs have been fixed. I just hope we don't cause too much
hurt to the community by this move away. The users need all the help
they can get.

If we can find any user-friendly way of reading and posting to the list
via a web browser, I still think it would be worth linking to it from
the mailing lists help page. The GMane "blog" interface allows posting:

  <http://blog.gmane.org/gmane.comp.version-control.subversion.devel>

So does its news-like threaded interface,
<http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.version-control.subversion.devel>,
via a "Followup" option in a drop-down menu, although that only
sometimes responds to my clicks.

How about we point to one of those?
