Great question!
*It is free to download, to use, to copy, to share, to distribute.*
Parts of the source code are open as well (wiki plugins and remote clients, for instance),
but the core is closed source. This is simply because the same core is also used in
our commercial offerings, and our commercial license doesn't (currently!) allow publishing
the complete code.
We are currently in the midst of rethinking our licensing scheme in general, to make things
more liberal or to set up some kind of a dual license.

We are looking, however, for opportunities to make codeBeamer MR more accessible for
the SVN community, if you guys find it useful. Any idea where and how to approach
the distribution maintainers?
