Hi again,

Just a quick update to this let you know that I downloaded 1.6.5 from s.t.o, just in case there was an issue with compiling trunk_at_head.
And I still get the same errors when I try to compile that version with the macports version of apr and apr-util.

It doesn't really prove anything much beyond, the issue seems to be compiling subversion, and not simply compiling trunk.
From my novice perspective - I'm still blaming the macports version of apr and apr-util.
