Could we do something like this:
* Announce the list switch;
* Set up post forwarding so that everything that's sent to
list_at_s.t.o also ends up at list_at_s.a.o;
* Have an auto-reply in place so that anyone who posts to @s.t.o
gets a reply to the tune of, "did you know about @s.a.o?"
* After a couple months of that, just switch off the @s.t.o list
distribution.
Anyone who doesn't migrate during that time, most probably isn't
interested any more.
