As a relative new-comer I have to ask why would Google Code be a
better option?
It seems more sensible to be to have ALL Subversion "stuff" at the
"home" of Subversion.
If "I" am looking for something Subversion related I "always" go to
the Tigris site first to find what I am after - then branch out from
there if I am can't find what I am looking for.

Though, I could of course be missing something about Google Code - I
have never used it.
And if that's the case - I.e Google Code has better API / UI or
similar - wouldn't the answer be to match the required functionality
at Tigris?

Gavin.
