It's possible that WANdisco uses svnsync for replication, but I get the
sense from talking with their representatives that their software has a
significant amount of extra-Subversion-al architecture -- we aren't talking
about a couple of little hook scripts here and there.

svnsync will almost certainly never do bidirectional replication because of
the weakness of the underlying merge algorithms. If you absolutely need
bidirectional synchronization, you should seriously consider using a DVCS
like git or mercurial.
