Yes - the bug is in how the client processes the mergeinfo it sees - the
stored mergeinfo isn't wrong after all. (Now that the patch has been
accepted/my theory was confirmed, I'll be cherrypicking it into my local
builds - it's an isolated enough change, you could do that to pending
1.5.next coming out...)
