I'm really trying to find a solution to all this weirdness. Therefore,
please excuse me if I'm adding some more weirdness now...

I set up a virtual machine with Opera mailer now, and subscribed to the
mailing list the ordinary way. Opera seems to be better at organzing
mailing list mails than Outlook Express is. And hopefully, it doesn't have
such a terrible layout for quoted mails and doesn't mangle up
attachments...

Another usage question: It seems that follow-ups are usually posted with a
To: original sender
CC: mailing list
Is this correct? Doesn't this lead to duplicates at the original sender?
One mail sent by me to him directly (the To) and one mail sent by the
mailing list mailer?

Thank you for teaching me.
