user@ list policy?

Is it acceptable to post release announcements for "third-party"
Subversion clients to users@?

I've just released a new version of SCPlugin (the Mac OS X Finder plug-
in for Subversion), which includes SVN 1.5 support:

Can I post a brief announcement to users_at_subversion? I was thinking
of something along the same lines as I sent to my own "announce@" list:

   http://scplugin.tigris.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=announce&msgNo=6
