I have a Windows box, and a stock install of Python 2.4 from
python.org. This works for me. It apparently works for Paul
Burba, Mark Phippard, the Windows autotest box, and on and on. I
don't know enough to have confidence that changing this isn't
going to break something.
Branko is right that building on Windows is an extreme sport.
I"m still nursing injuries from getting this mysterious process
going.
