I'm +1 to merge it back. There might be a few bikesheddy tweaks I'd
want to make to the prompt language (e.g., shouldn't say it's "going to
store" if it's really going to ask the user and then only store
depending on the user's answer), but those can be made on trunk.

Thanks so much for getting this done! Now 1.6 already has a good change
waiting for its release...
