Merge tracking, sparse directories, relative externals, and I just
started testing it and realized...

...There's no such thing as sparse externals.

Are we the only team out there that would find such a feature (say in
1.6) *extremely* useful?

For us, it would make single-platform and single-target checkout
support a lot more feasible.

However, even without this, and with the limitations on rename+merge
support, 1.5 has
much that we need, and I, for one, am very relieved that it isn't held
up any longer for the
remaining potential features, even if we do want some of those as well.
