Why can't you guys make a simple newsgroup for svn and tortoise

This is ridiculous. How much of a problem could it be to set up a
newsgroup on yahoo or google or even sourceforge? It is extremely
frustrating trying to figure out how to use svn and tortoisesvn with
the available documentation. AND I FOR ONE don't have time to spend
with trial-and-error over and over again because there is no
newsgroup to review. With all the spam out there, email newsgroups
suck and are ridiculously outmoded. I think svn and tortoisesvn have tremendous
potential to help with my software development but so far I run into
brick wall after brick wall and have deleted my first repositories
dozens of times and wasted days already and still haven't been able
to figure out how to do some simple things in spite of the svn book
and tortoisesvn help.
