Since Lieven replied in another thread that I was allowed to nominate changes
for backporting, I re-read the hacking doc. It said that I should make sure
that the merge works and tests okay before nominating. My build system has
been hosed, so I'm just now building the 1.5.x branch. Once I've confirmed
things work as expected, I was planning on nominating r29621 and r29131 (these
are the ones that I'm aware of).

Sorry for being long winded. Short answer is that I was planning on it.
