Subversion 1.5 -- next steps

I have been off line most of the week but it looks like a lot of great
activity has taken place. Maybe I need to stay away more often :)

I would really like to produce some binaries from the 1.5.x branch
next week for our openCollabNet "Beta" program. I had been waiting
for the node cache issue to be resolved as I did not want to
proliferate a temporary fsfs repository format. Anyway, if anyone
feels ambitious enough to do some backporting next week it would be
great. Having the binaries does help find bugs. I found a couple
that have been fixed, just by pure chance of using our GUI merge
client with the 1.5.x branch binaries.

I am also curious if anyone has been talking about RC1 in IRC this
week (since I have not been around). Are there any major items
lingering before we can start the process? I know someone needs to do
CHANGES and the release notes on the web site, but are there are also
some new thorny problems that people have been working on lately?

Off to the airport soon ...
