I've confirmed that this is a problem when _running_ on Leopard,
regardless of where your svn was built (and conversely, even a Leopard-
built svn works fine when run on earlier OS). That seems pretty
strongly to mean the change in behavior (i.e., alleged bug ;-) is in
some OS X shared library or service.
