OK, to start with, I just rebased the perl-bindings-improvements branch off of
the latest trunk. It was huge - I'm glad I have SVK to deal with the nasty
merge bookkeeping. ;-)

I'm building that branch now, so I can run the tests that Nik added and see
where we are /vis a vis/ trunk.

Speaking of huge, the commit log e-mail bounced back to me:

I assume that isn't a problem (or at least not much of one). What commit log
e-mail script is the project using [that doesn't know how to handle large
commits better]? Not pushing one thing or another[1]; just curious.

John

1) though I happen to like SVN::Notify so much that I wrote the subclass
SVN::Notify::Mirror and took over maintenance of two others (SVN::Notify::Config
and SVN::Notify::Snapshot).
