Thanks Kou, that's great news!

I'm in favor of following the plan suggested by Max (others?) in the
previous 1.4.3 thread -- complete testing on the 1.4.3 tarball (we
only need one more Windows sig to release it, which IIUC Lieven will
be providing). Get some more fixes into the 1.4.x branch, and release
a 1.4.4 in a week or two (clkao wanted to make some more Perl bindings
fixes, too?).
