First, I don't think "immediates" sounds good, though it is at least
fairly clear in meaning. Even the already rejected "onelevel" from
LDAP sounds better.

Second, did you mean to replace depth:0 with depth-empty there? (The
same applies to a few other places in the document.)

Third, I seem to recall that your branch code hints at a fifth possible
depth, -1 "missing". Do you still plan to implement and expose this
functionality? It sounds useful to me.
