I looks like for Imageworks I'll be building a custom svn build based off of
1.4.x with the incomplete-directories support in it.

So after you merge your branch back into trunk, I'll create a new
1.4.x-incomplete-directories branch from the 1.4.x branch and then merge the
incomplete-directories merge from trunk into it, and then periodically merge
changes from the 1.4.x branch and any bug fixes appearing on trunk for the
incomplete-directories support. That's a mouthful :)

While I'll be doing this for Imageworks, it seems better to maintain this branch
in the svn tree so if other people want to use the branch, they can leverage the
merging work.
