Re: Google Summer of Code Students: A guide to getting started

Hello everyone. As mentioned by David James, I am working on the
svnserve logging task.

A quick introduction : I am a 4th Year Computer Engineering
undergraduate at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. I have
had an internship at a major aerospace company for the past 4 years
doing web-based database-backed applications, along with some
simulations and various tools in various programming/scripting
languages. Likes include Slashdot, Boing Boing, code refactoring,
reading novels, version control and learning anything/everything.
Dislikes include television, screaming kids, and sparse user/developer
documentation.

So far on my task I have read through the svnserve source, checked out
the subversion trunk source, and have compiled from a source (release
1.3.1) tarball. Immediate next steps are to compile from checked out
source, then to step through svnserve with the debugger. I also am going
to set up apache + subversion to see how the mod_dav_svn logging works.

I have school through June 9, and before then I have 1 homework, 1 quiz,
2 reports, and 4 tests to do, so I will be scarce until then.

I will be sending out an email shortly that is specifically on my task.
