I have committed two enhancements to Subclipse:

1) When lock/unlock fails it outputs the error message from the SVN
library (which includes the user that holds the lock) to the SVN Console
in Subclipse.

2) I added the remote lock information to the "Subversion" property page
for an Eclipse resource, provided that the svn:needs-lock property is set.

Also, I tested on resources that would have spaces in the URL and it
worked fine. So the problem you are reporting must exist in the command
line UI and not in the Subversion library itself.
