Sure, I'm keeping his comments well into account.

I was planning to reuse much of the existing svnmerge.py code. That would
provide a good level of consistency, I believe. It would also make svnvendor.py
dependent on svnmerge.py instead of being a standalone script, but the
alternatives (cut & paste?) look even worse.
