Yes, we seem to have had this conversation last November, but nothing

I agree with ghudson and rooneg in this thread. Checkout and blame
are inconsistent with all the other commands.

I don't see why they couldn't be consistified... I don't see any
threat of 'breaking' existing behaviors that users are used to.
