Can I reuse autconf/rpmbuild input files?

Subversion authors/developers-

Can I reuse your autconf/rpmbuild input files without restriction?

Namely: I'm interested in copying parts of the files found here:

http://svn.collab.net/repos/svn/trunk/configure.in
http://svn.collab.net/repos/svn/trunk/build/ac-macros/
http://svn.collab.net/repos/svn/trunk/packages/rpm/rhel-4/

to help me save time getting started on my own autoconf- and rpmbuild-based
stuff. Can the Subversion project official grant me authority to do
this? If so, how can this be done?

My project is GPL-based. I had considering add this header to the related
files I would create this way (as per
<http://subversion.tigris.org/project_license.html>). However, my team's
legal advise has said:

"Although the GNU website does not list this [Subversion] license as one
that they consider to be incompatible with the GPL, it could be seen as
incompatible due to the acknowledgement requirements in the documentation."

Hence I felt it best to pose this email to the -dev list. Thanks for your
consideration.

-Matt
