The script http://svn.collab.net/repos/svn/trunk/tools/dev/stress.pl
can be used to generate repositories of any size with any number of
revisions, although you will have to experiment with the options to
find ones that give you the size you want.

It does generate revisions with fairly "simple" changes all of the
same "size", but you can run it multiple times (use -c on the first
run only) to get more variety. You can insert more complicated
changes between runs of the script, just manually modify the most
recent working copy and then commit it.
