Active development occurs on the trunk, then changes are selectively
merged into the 1.2.x branch, typically contrib changes are merged over
without much debate, but if no one nominates them they don't get
merged over. This was probably just an oversight.

If you notice something similar in the future send an e-mail, so that it
can be fixed that.
