I did build it, and from the config.log which I had totally ignored
(thanks for pointing it out) it did find Perl.

Hey! I've been using it for years! Seriously, I'd upgrade if I'd not
built half the world around it ...

Thanks, though. Maybe if TortoiseSVN continues to be broken too I can
convince the boss that I need to rebuild perl, and the most of the
world....
