Wait, this is going to far.
There is no need to apologize for enforcing consistency.
Just imagine how hard it would be to read the source if
the personal coding style of 1000 different authors would
be allowed to go in.
What a waste of time that would cause.
So I guess the priorities as Karl decribed them earlier
are completely right: try to convince people to follow the
existing rules, but if they do not listen, accept good
content anyway, even if it puts the burden of fixing the
formatting on the reviewer/committer.
