And I think the hints about the answers lie in a parallel thread going
on right now regarding that "N lines" log header. The community
appears to have rejected the removal of that bit of information on the
grounds that doing so would make 'svn log' output less machine
parsable. If machine parsability of data is a goal, I should think
the accuracy of that data is pretty important.
