The non-XML output should be parseable too, and there are programs
that parse it in existence today.

Replacing with "N" might work; I think the others take up too much
horizontal space (we try to stay under 80 columns). However, "N" is a
bit cryptic by itself, so I'm not sure it's worth the trouble of
changing.
