There has been a lot of optimisation in TSVN lately, and it doesn't hit
explorer nearly as hard as it did before. But it sounds as if you are
happier with an entirely different client model anyway. Being able to
choose the client that suits you is one of the (many) great strengths of
Subversion :-)

Absolutely, but it is a two way street, and the API changes also have to
take into account use cases which go beyond what the CLI requires. Of
such things is discussion made.
