I see that the core Subversion developers does not have any dire need
for this feature. If just SVNParentPath gets fixed, the bulk of the
problem would probably also be gone for most people, I guess.

Coding it myself is the general idea.
Nonetheless, I'd still like opinion from the experts on how it could be
most sensibly achieved (even if the experts does not have a use for it).
