there is not "a subversion server". there are 3 ways to network a repos.

i heard sussman works on indexing of svnparentpath. for the other stuff
like svn+ssh:// or svn:// you cant say where all the repositories are.
there is no global index of all repositories on a box.

another point i want to mention here is "security by obscurity". just
because an user has access to one of my repos i dont want him to see all
other repositories.
