Well, then, maybe I have to write it myself and for myself only. Thought
talking about it a little bit would gain at least some sympathy for the
issue.

I know that currently, it's only me asking for this feature. Maybe others
have asked already (on this list, on irc, wherever) and were given the
same answer or gave up evaluating Subversion just for that issue. Maybe
others start thinking about it because I raised the issue.

And: I'm not expecting you to make the change (if you don't want to, of
course :-)). I'm discussing the topic to clearify (read my first mail
again) issues related to which software might be blocking/disliking the
?r= parameters and which specification disallows this or that.

I understand your point as well: I know how important it is to
block/postpone new features for a product that has enough work to
implement for ages.
