I know it has, and I have looked. I'm not interested in techniques, I'm
asking for advice WRT the Subversion auth API. TortoiseSVN circumvents
quite a bit of that, it doesn't even share the auth info with the
command-line client (which is understandable, given that they're
encrypting it).

What I want first is a generic interface for auth info encryption that
other platforms can use. I don't want more platform-specific hacks in
the code than strictly necessary.
