checkout in inconsistent state after commit with files remaining in moved directory

hello subversives,

i think i have found a bug in subversion-1.1.1

preliminary note: after a 'svn move', the original directory that was
moved remains until commit time.

if you delete a dir, add some files in it, and svn commit, you will
get errors (Error bumping revisions post-commit, says "details follow"
but no details follow...), but deleting the extra files and
directories will result in a usable checkout.

however, if you MOVE a dir, add some files in it, and svn commit, i
cannot find a way to recover my checkout to be able to use it.

full log of automated test in attachment.

any idea what i could do to fix my checkout?

thanks.
cheers,

(p.s. please Cc replies i'm not on the list yet)
