I think you're right -- we should have updated roadmap.html as soon as
we knew the 1.0.9 and 1.1.1 releases were under way. Even if we don't
know the exact date, it would be helpful to say "The release process
began on date X, and it usually only takes a week or two at most." or
something like that. People could make guesses based on that.

The relationship between the old project_status.html page and the new
roadmap.html page is confusing. I've made some changes to clarify
things in r11445. The web site should update within an hour; let me
know if these changes to roadmap.html and project_status.html help.
