I don't really want to see it copied wholesale into the book. I didn't
write it with the book in mind, and some of the points discussed in that
file are too deep to belong in a piece of general Subversion
documentation. The book authors can use it as source material, but
should write their own copy. (Ben has already done some work in that
direction.)

But it can move into the notes directory, and people can be pointed to
it there. I'll check it in tomorrow (assuming I don't forget) if no one
objects.
