Both are correct. We decided that the bindings were important enough
to maintain alongside the rest of the code, and not important enough
to significantly impact releases.

Personally, I just want to solve the bindings build problems that
prevent me from writing unit tests for the Python bindings. I'd
*love* to use such tests to track API coverage and such.
