Obviously. :-)

What I'm trying to say is that there are edge cases in both ACL and
inherited prop semantics -- this being one -- that you /might/ want to
solve differently for each. I'd be very happy if both turned out to use
the same mechanism, but at this point I'm not convinced that they can,
that's all.
