RE: .svn vs _svn on VS.NET (ASP.NET)

Regardless of numbers, and regardless of ASP.NET, this is something that
should configurable on the svn client, perhaps through a commandline option.
I've been hacking around on this, but don't count on me to get it done as
time is sparse; but it would be a nice option to have down the road.

If penetration is something subversion is looking for, it's going to need
flexibility to fit whatever setup, asp.net or some other funky thing that
doesn't like .svn as a directory name.

We've just replaced source safe, source offsite and starteam with subversion
in our company, and since we are a microsoft shop (send scorn to
middle@finger.com), using the modified tortoise svn client isn't a big deal
for us. But relying on a single client can be a little cumbersome when you
want to script some particular actions, specifically from within visual
studio. And once a good solid SCC option becomes available that allows
subversion to be used from within Visual Studio, I have no doubt a lot of
people will be dumping source safe for subversion. We must have evaluated 8
or 9 SCM "solutions" and none of them touch subversion for simplicity and
speed, as far as I'm concerned.

Just my .05.
