Can I do a last question? Why not to do a special build solving this
problem, and including the download in the Faq or in the downloads page?
At least, people having this problem could solve the problem downloading
such precompiled version from the Subversion site. If you don't keep
updating that special build, that'd be a very easy solution for most
users in trouble, and a very cheap one for you all.
