Sorry, I can't agree. The facts of the matter are that:

  1) This is not a Subversion issue, it's a VS.NET + IIS issue.
  2) The problem is expected to go away.
  3) There is a work-around available for those affected by this issue.

Granted, anything the Subversion team (or community...that includes you and
me) could do to ease this problem for VS.NET+IIS users would be great, but
only if there is *zero* cost for other users. Clearly, the discussions have
shown that there is potential impact on other users with all of the proposed
solutions.

VS.NET+IIS users that can't use Subversion as is can build a custom client by
following the simple instructions here:

        http://subversion.tigris.org/project_faq.html#adm-dir

If you can't build it yourself, contact a local guru to do it for you. That's
the beauty of Free/Open Source Software, after all! Why should the entirety
of the Subversion user base have to pay a price (however small) for a
temporary bug in an unrelated third-party application when such a work around
exists?

Life would be so much easier if we could just look at the source code.
