They are maintained, just progressing at a speed at which you can barely see
them moving. ;-) They are not yet ready for use, and their build appears to
have been broken recently by unrelated changes. I've asked Justin to help me
sort things out.

The javahl bindings are currently the best Java bindings for SVN available.
Several projects (Subclipse, Maven, etc.) also have commandline client
wrappers written in Java.
