Unable to build javahl

Found the need to rebuild javahl today, and found I was unable to. I
tried copies from HEAD:trunk and the 1.0.x branch, neither worked.
./autogen.sh works fine, ./configure --with-jdk=/usr/lib/j2sdk1.4
produces:

jhaltom@station-1 javahl $ ./configure --with-jdk=/usr/lib/j2sdk1.4/
creating config.nice

Running Debian SID, autoconf 2.59, libapr 2.0.48. Thanks!
