Are you sure? I just logged on to my RedHat 7.3 build machine:

$ rpm -q glibc
glibc-2.2.5-43

Now if you are running something older than RedHat 7.3 I could understand.
But I'm not sure where you are getting that glibc-2.3 dependency. I don't
see that anywhere unless I'm missing something.

Back when I had a RedHat 7.2 machine to build/test I tried my subversion
built from RedHat 7.3 and it worked. However something may have changed
and that might not be the case now.

In any event, to "fix" it you could just recompile from the source RPMs
and everything should work great.

If I mis-understood or am missing something, please let me know.
